Costume Chaos in the Town

In a town where Halloween was always grand,

Two shops, of costumes, did take a stand.

One sold gowns of the finest degree,

The other, masks that were wild and free.

Each year, on this spooky night, they would show,

Costumes that no one else in town would know.

And as they competed, their designs grew bold,

Till they were so big, they couldn't be sold.

One year, the first shop made a suit of a tree,

And the second replied with a costume of a flea.

The tree was so big, it could barely stand,

But the flea was so small, it could fit in a hand.

And so the contest went on, year after year,

Costumes that defied all the laws of the sphere.

Till the townspeople laughed and said with a grin,

"The costumes are absurd, but Halloween won't be the same without them!"

And thus, the two shops continued to thrive,

Their costumes so crazy, they kept the town alive.

For every Halloween, they had something new,

And the townspeople always looked forward to it too.
