Corner Pieces

Perhaps you’re just a corner piece

Do you ever feel as if there’s this whole piece of life that you are missing?

Some piece that was never shown to you and so you simply go through life

with it as a blind spot?

Everyone else can see it; You think.

Everyone else can feel it ; Whatever it is

In fact many know or sense that you cannot.

Its’ lack in your life squeezes you to the furthest boundaries of monotony.

Exiling you from the presence of others because without this insight

you are only useful in solitude.

Is it that you weren’t shown or is it that you can’t look upon it?

Is it both?

If you seen it would it shock you into submission?

If you felt this thing would it move you?

Behoove you to change?

Does the answer lie with someone else?

After all we are all just one piece to the puzzle of life.

But while most pieces are in the mix perhaps you’re just a corner piece:

Everyone pulls you out to solve the puzzle but you only connect with two

pieces.

Will it be that as we lay dying and the days close on our life

will we will look back and see what we denied,

lying in regrets eyes open for the first time

just before they shut forever?
