Conversations with the Sea

- Inquiries and Reflections

By Dawnxisoul393artPublished 2 years ago 3 min read

Oh mighty sea,

whose breadth knows no bound

I stand before your vastness

in awe profound

Your waves crash and roll

a symphony divine

Inviting me to dive

into your depths sublime

/

"Why are you so wide?" I ask

with wonder in my voice

And you reply with a smile

"For the whales to play and rejoice

Their graceful forms

must have ample space to roam

In the boundless realm

that I call home"

I ponder your words

as the tides ebb and flow

Your hue a reflection

of the sky's blue glow

"Why is your color so blue?"

I inquire once more

And you answer softly

"The heavens above, I adore

In my embrace

I hold the vast expanse of blue

Mirroring the sky

for all to view"

I stand in awe

as your beauty unfolds

The corals below

a treasure to behold

"Why are you so beautiful?"

I ask with reverence and care

And you respond with a smile

"The corals, they are my pride and flair

Their vibrant hues and intricate design

Adorn my depths, a sight truly divine"

The depth of your being

a mystery to behold

As you reveal your secret

with a story untold

"Why are you so deep?"

I inquire, with curiosity alight

And you answer

"For the ocean-going giants

who soon will take flight

Their massive vessels

they need ample room to sail

And I, the sea

will ensure they never fail"

I stand, humbled and awed

by your endless grace

Each question answered

with a wisdom I cannot erase

You are the cradle of life

the mother of all

Embracing the world

with a love that stands tall

/

In your salty embrace

I find solace and peace

A respite from the world

where my worries cease

Your rhythmic tides

a soothing balm for the soul

As I let the waves wash over me

and make me whole

Your salty taste

a stark reminder of the past

As you share your secret

"The sailors' sweat, I have amassed

Their toil and labor

upon my waves they cast

And I, the sea, have gathered it at last"

Oh mighty sea

I pledge my devotion to thee

For in your embrace

I find true clarity

Your boundless expanse

a testament to the divine

A reflection of the universe

so vast and sublime

Let me ever bask

in your eternal embrace

Drinking in your beauty

your power, your grace

For in your gentle caress

I find my true home

Where the worries of the world

can no longer roam

/

I ask you, sea

to continue your endless dance

To cradle the world

in your eternal trance

For in your timeless rhythm

we find our solace and peace

A sanctuary where

our weary souls can find release

Hail to thee, oh mighty sea

forever and ever

Your love and protection

we will never sever

For in your embrace

we find our true calling

To cherish the world

and keep its beauty from falling!

Postscript:

We're left with a profound sense of interconnectedness with the vast, enigmatic sea. The sea's wise and patient responses have imparted a transformative understanding - that in its timeless embrace, the sea holds the very essence of our world. Through this enchanting dialogue, we've come to revere the sea not merely as an impressive natural wonder, but as a living, breathing entity that nurtures all life. The sea's boundless depth, color, and salinity are revealed as metaphors for the richness and complexity of our shared existence. In this moment, we feel a deep kinship with the sea, realizing that its eternal rhythms mirror the harmonies that connect us all. This realization leaves the heart full, instilling a sense of wonder, humility, and profound gratitude.
