Control Me

My Remote...

By Latoya Giles Published 2 years ago 1 min read

All televisions come with buttons for control: power on or off and volume up and down.

My beloved television, you hold all of my favorite shows. You hang out with me for many hours on end sometimes without frown.

This may be starting to sound like an ode to my wonderful tv, but let assure you dear reader, it is not! This is a love letter to the remote. The control center of it all.

The remote allows me to be sitting comfortable, snacking even and I can change the channel, adjust the volume and not have to move an inch! The groove in the couch is very defined. Don't worry, I do exercise...sometimes.

When my treasured remote has been misplaced, this is absolutely the worst. I must leave my spot, trust me, I do not feel happy about this.

"I found it!" Pure bliss. "Don't ever leave me again." I beg. I need you. We settle back on the couch to do what we always do...*WHISPERS* "I love you"...
