Contract With The Devil

This was written after someone hurt me pretty badly, its never a nice feeling to be played the fool, but its even worse when a darkness overcomes you.

You never know how much you miss someone's voice

until it has gone silent

a voice once filled with love, admiration and laughter

now nothing but cold and bitter.

You never know how much you miss their humour

a humour that would light up the room, bringing many close to them

when simple jokes were innocent

but now they are empty, flat, almost lifeless in humours embrace.

From falling in love, to falling apart

a bitterness that eats away at the heart

one who fails and accused of such insanity

she tries to stay positive , looking for were she went wrong

but all she can see is broken , the man she knew was a lie

never to be returned.

So I shall cut my heart from the cage of my ribs

place it still beating in a jar of graveyard dirt

then place it neatly in a empty tomb of a safe place,

having it secure so that when my time does come, my will shall state

'Send my heart to him'

addressing your name, you who betrayed me, you who lied.

But I know even then , you would never accept it

for it is a tainted seed of what could of been

but what was never allowed to be

you made it such so take this token for it is cursed

I need not watch my revenge unfold, I will know.

So with my dying breath, please know this

I loved you, fully to the end of time

but you, you the player, the liar, I know what you are now

so with my dying breath and my heart within its cursed place

know this you contract with the devil is signed in my blood.
