An Acrostic Critiquing Consumerism from a Consumer Slave

By Kenneth cruzPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Cursed to consume

Only when I’m spending am I worthy

Never rest or escape the rat race

Slaving to corporate America, working long days to pay their way

Upscale life has me living day to day

Maybe one day I’ll escape, and stop being a slave

Every day has me running ragged and depraved

Remorse and regrets after bills paid
