Connections & Understandings
Use love against violence

When I opened my eyes
I saw copper leaves, breathing trees, and lakes of wonder
Bodies of energy I could plunge into
Simple things, yet so monumental
Moons bathing in tranquility
Suns lighting entire cities
Connections & Understandings without words
So much love I didn't know hurt
I envisioned a time
Before I questioned my worth
Before they treated us like dirt
and set a flame to Mother Earth
Before sacred life was nothing more than a purse or some wall decor' and fake food filled the aisles of grocery stores
Before vibrations were as distorted as HIStory
and there was no one left to tell his story
A time before we settled for a "good morning" to mourning families
While murderers taste glory through fabricated news stories
No Connections, no understandings
Too many words and not enough love
I danced with hurt
When I closed my eyes
I realized mortality internalized
There lied the building blocks to my demise
Light blues were now dark grays
Where happiness flowed rage grew in it's place
But I heard an ((echo)) in silence
It said, "use love against the violence."
I watched darkness and light become one
From that every single color spun into an infinite web
Touching hearts and kissing forehead's
Who knew I could reach the galaxies from this bed?
My eyes opened
All around me were connections and overstandings without words
So much love I let go of the hurt
