Connecting the dot

You cannot see the road ahead,

The path that waits, unknown, unsaid,

The dots will only make their shape

When time has passed, and fate’s escape

Has shown the way from there to here,

Through every joy and every fear.

So trust in something deep and true,

Your heart, your soul, the voice in you,

For in the end, it’s trust that leads,

Not well-worn paths, not others’ creeds.

Your time is short, your life your own,

Do not waste it on seeds not sown.

Do not be trapped by dogma’s snare,

The thoughts of others, loud and bare.

Don’t let their noise drown out your voice,

Find what you love, and make it choice.

For work and life, and love the same,

Should burn with passion, not with shame.

If you’ve not found your calling yet,

Keep searching still, do not forget.

Do not settle for less than great,

Let not your dreams be lost to fate.

Each day will bring both highs and lows,

And challenge you where spirit grows.

When times are good, when times are fair,

It's easy to be bold and care,

But when the storm clouds darken skies,

That’s when true courage will arise.

The human spirit, strong and bright,

It finds its strength within the fight.

For fear will whisper in your ear,

It kills the hope, it feeds the fear,

It ages you, it holds you tight,

It keeps you from your destined height.

But feelings fade, they’re just the breeze,

While principles stand strong like trees.

At the end of feelings, there is naught,

But at the end of truths well sought,

There lies a promise deep and clear,

A path that conquers every fear.

So do not let your feelings guide,

For they will pull you from the side.

Each morning that you fail to rise,

You push your dreams back, let them die,

One day, one moment lost in vain,

Can set you back a year in pain.

So discipline your heart and mind,

Let neither be a step behind.

And when you seek to change your life,

Remember, change is born of strife,

It’s not a road of ease and cheer,

But one that cuts through doubt and fear.

If every path was smooth and straight,

We’d all be great, there’d be no fate.

But few are those who go all out,

Who cast aside their fear and doubt,

Who say, “I’m in control today,

No storm, no trial will block my way.

I’ll come back stronger, stand up tall,

I’ll rise again, I will not fall.”

So take full charge, accept the place

You find yourself, with all its grace,

And know the power is within,

To start anew, to fight, to win.

Decide today to live with fire,

To stoke the flames of deep desire.

For yesterday is dead and gone,

And what you do now must be strong,

The past is just a tale retold,

The future is for you to mold.

This year, this time, make dreams come true,

No longer talk—be bold, pursue.

Persevere when things are tough,

When all you have feels not enough,

Do not give in, do not give way,

There’s always light at end of day.

Find strength within when all seems lost,

Keep moving, never count the cost.

The answers lie beyond your fear,

They wait for those who persevere,

Who face the dawn with lifted head,

So ask yourself, “What will I do?
