A hall of mirrors,
an open stage,
this big world.
.
Probing eyes,
ears to the door,
lives on display.
.
Harboring secrets,
veiling our faces;
it’s what we do.
.
Guarding our thoughts,
cloaking our fears,
protecting our hopes.
.
Seeking shadows,
a solitary space,
somewhere to breathe.
.
Our hidden selves,
tucked away in
remote chambers
marked “Confidential.”

Everything we do nowadays is so exposed to everyone and sometimes it feels like there is no place to hide. Your poem captures that feeling. Great one, Randy!
