Conference Reflection

A day of crowded emptiness

The crowd carries on as I move unseen

Out of place in a world unknown

Begging silently for shelter to stand under

Finding nothing but the Human Sea

Why do we conversate but lack connection

Who must we become to actually belong

How are we adjoined but feel alone

When is the manifest moment

Where are the answers promised with the passing years

Silence is golden after the lexical parade ceases

Pieces of the day play on loop denying the glimmer

Remember the worst and forget the rest seems

To be my mind's strategy for making sense

Where are the answers

When is the moment

How are we alone

Who must belong

Why do we lack connection
