You may not believe me when I tell you this

Or you may choose not to hear

It's important nonetheless

Though it may strike horrible fear

You may see evil

As blatant acts of "anti-good"

But evil lives in all of us

In a way one wouldn't think it would

Complacency in itself is selfish evilness

It feeds on the small and the scared

It leaves us with cold feet and bloody hands

It leaves our minds impaired

Each of us is guilty of it

Whether the case be large or small

And when you think of what that means

You may begin to regret it all
