Comfort Poem

A cool breeze is blowing outside

The sun is waking up at the horizon

The smell of the coffee brewing fills me with warmth

The fireplace coming to life next to my cozy chair

I set down my cup and sit down

Snuggle under a big blanket

I take long, slow sips while reading

The house is quiet since I am the only one awake

This is how I prefer to start my day

I breathe in the smell coming from my mug

Thoughts of my mom come to mind

We share a love for this black gold

I look out the window

Getting lost in the view of our new property

Excited to see what the future holds

For now I will relish in the comfort

Of a cozy chair, big blanket, roaring fire, and

A hot cup of coffee
