Come with me
To a place
By the sea
Where the sun
Shines high above
And the sand
Is so soft
Under your feet
take a moment
Close your eyes
Feel the breeze
through your hair
and the warmth
on your skin
It's not much
But it's enough
All you need
To let go
Just sit back
Take deep breaths
Imagine the scent
Of salty sea
on the breeze
Imagine the sound
Of the waves
lapping and crashing
The children playing
In the distance
But not far
Sip some water
Let some drip
On your skin
Release the tension
You've been holding
Like a dog
On a leash
Inside your mind
And your stomach
Offload the stress
From your jaw
Unwind and recline
Nothing to worry
nothing to fear
Is it real?
Does it matter?
Let yourself go
Recline and relax
Let your mind
take the lead
follow its path
where it goes
enjoy the peace
cherish the quiet
Revive your spirit
Ready for tomorrow
And whatever comes

Author's Note: I decided to just write and let the words take me where they wanted. There was very little editing done to this, because I wanted there to only be a very little gap between the words coming from my mind and onto the screen.
This is as much for me as well as anyone else. If it helps, I'm glad.

I missed this one too! Holy moly, I literally just melted as I read this. I unclenched my jaw, released my shoulders, and felt overwhelming calm. Love this meditation! It revived my spirit! Thank you, pal!
I really needed to read something like this today and it has ignited "mae hiraeth am y mor", which in Welsh means my longing for the sea. I use Welsh because hiraeth doesn't really have an English translation - it is more deeply felt than longing. It speaks of connection, harmony, nostalgia and that's what you evoked for me here. Thank you.
Really enjoyed Paul. Here here to “mind palaces”. Thanks again for sharing and brightening our day. 😊
Oh this was so relaxing! I just wanna sit there and stare at the waves! Loved your poem! 🍩🥐
So beautifully perfect. Shall we go for a swim?
Love love love for this! I miss the ocean. Offload the stress from your jaw…. I needed that reminder… Crazy how the tension just resides there
I loved this! Glad you decided to let it flow ☺️
