Come Away

Inspired by "Come Along" by Cosmo Sheldrake

By CheshirePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Step inside my faerie-ring.

Come away with me,

Sleep inside the trees.

Dance with me on toadstools,

Sing with me until the sun warms the moss

and the birds take over.

Come away with me,

fly away on sparrow-back,

Take a leaf across the puddle

and leave your world behind.

Walk with me ‘til moondown,

Let me show you life.

Come away to my faerie-ring,

you sweet, young, pretty thing,

and I’ll tell tales of days gone by.

Come and live in the little land,

sit with me and sip pomegranate soup

from an acorn.

Stay with me in my faerie-ring,

dance with me and the lightning bugs,

sing with me until the dawn chases us

to our mossy beds.

Stay with me in my faerie-ring.
