No one’s wings are simply white

Because only love is pure

But when your feathers take their flight

Their rainbow will emerge

Throughout the lessons that you learn

You’ll earn a different hue

Your wings become a tapestry

Weaved unique to you

When you keep another’s heart

You’ll earn a shade of rose

A reminder from the lord above

That his affection only grows

With the power of 1000 seas

Your tattered soul will fly

You’ll earn a shade of navy blue

For every tear you’ve cried

When protected by an armoured guard

After many times attacked

Sometimes we surface burnt and charred

To earn our shade of black

When someone close is plagued by grief

And drowning in their sorrow

That’s when you sparkle as a friend

And earn the brightest yellow

In times of your self-centred greed

Using envied eyes to see

While pursuing things you didn’t need

You’ll be dipped in shades of green

As your body parts your soul

A kiss up to the sky

You’ll see a crown of solid gold

And your coloured wings will fly
