Colourblind

An ode to colour

I always thought it was good to not see colour

Thought it was good, I thought I was like no other

But colour is beautiful,  colour is great

My colourblind ways were just dead weight

Now I see that a colour in you

Is a colour in me

Those days are gone but still ingrained

This colour in me can't be contained

We are all the same, yet so different

Our bones break if we hit cement

Our bodies decay

One day we all just fade away

So no time for hate

The time is for love

Just make it happen

Don't let push cone to shove

Show everyone love

All the colours in the world

Show them all love
