Across the room

Blue meets Brown

Yellow meets Black

Colors of life

Start to attract

Short meets tall

Firm meets thin

Calm meets hot

Now it begins,

Sitting across a narrow table

I see my mate, as in a fable

His eyes are dark, his skin silk black

If only he would just look back

I seek his love

He does not know

Hard to tell is he friend or foe

Will he see me over here?

Sitting in my pale green chair

Blue eyes beckoning him

Come hither, my dear

We are meant to be

Come with me

Love me, please

For I love you

Finally, movement in my direction

A simple statement

Indicating selection

My heart is pounding

My soul is singing

I have sought perfection

Wedding bells are ringing

Colors of life start to attract

Now we are one

Colors are beautiful

Life has begun.
