Colorless Heart

Black and White

By Chris JacquesPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

You show up to my ceremony with a black dress on.

Looking into the casket trying to see one last pump.

But the blood that spills is so colorless...

It's not so black and white how our story ends.

The conclusion still isn't to clear

With this colorful colorless heart made with your intentions.

How can you spill your color, making it so bright

Until it lost color and you took out its light.

As it lays there with one last beat, only because it thought of you.

How many times have you colored in someone's book?

Creating memories that will hang off a hook.

You always try a different change,

But all you do is rip the page.

leaving a colorless heart.

But all it takes is one artist, to share her heart

spilling color all over the broken.

and a heart's death will be broken.

As she proves its not so black and white.

It's not so black and white how our story ends.

The conclusion is so clear,

with this colorful colorless heart of mine, made with your intentions.

How did you spill your color, making it so bright,

until you made it lose color by closing out the light?

But the sky opens up and it beats once again,

To the beat of a new drum, that isn't around your bed.

The Broken might be broken but in the end its alright,

So please leave, this colorless heart of mine.
