Colorful Moods

What’s Your Color

my eyes are brown, your’s are blue,

mine are me, your’s are you!

my hair, brown like my eyes has never been changed with coloring dyes.

my skin is tanned to a golden brown, like a piece of toast, not crisp, perfectly done!

I’m like a rainbow, stretched across the sky, with red and yellow and purple, beaming from my eye!

I live in my moods!!

raging orange, now there’s a mood,

when I’m around the daring brood,

or a soft, more subtle pink,

when I’m alone just needing to think of where this life been,

in oceans blue and plush fields of green.

these brown eyes, what do they see?

reflections of life, in you, in me!

they see colors in the night, neon signs flashing bright, realizing the neon is actually us, right?

they see black, they see white,

what is wrong, what is right.

yet over the purple majesty, they see what it is that’s truly me,

graying hair,

a heart of gold,

a colorful soul,

just growing old!!

fact or fiction

This was really well done, and I loved those last four lines. Great work :)
