Colored colorful

more than my skin

By charlezar millsPublished 5 years ago β€’ 1 min read

Color me colorful

Vivid shades of sunsets and sunrises

I am colored,

Clouds after a rainy day

I am colored,

In the eyes of the law

I am colored,

the very essence of my high cheekbones

I am colored,

I am colorful

Transcended from black white and grey scales,

For I am all colors

Colorful in my ideas in the world around me,

Colorful in the way society shapes my norms

Colorful, (plural) rainbow reds oranges greens blues and purples,

Vibrant, radiating

Warm and kind,

Still yet calm

So Gracious ,

Yet you will still call me colored

When I’ve told you I am colorful,
