Color Through My Lens

Isis Piersee

By Isis PierseePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Thought becomes feeling

Feeling becomes perception

I’ve lived a life full of feeling

You can see my colors

But do you ache with the beauty of it all?

I’ve washed myself in the grey clouds of the sea

Dragged along the deepest of dark

Bled into the crevices of the Earth and stained it’s crust

With the most striking of scarlets

But to feel pain is to know beauty

I’ve sung in the tune of wind through lavender fields

And felt the blessing of bright and beautiful gold

Kissing my skin and promising me pleasure

Every breath of blush on my cheeks

Blooms and burns into passionate cerise

I’ve slept in the moss and the jade of the forest

Slipped through the silk of the sage

Ran ragged through the brush along my feet

Sipped from silver waters

Heard the clean and coolness speak to me in hushed tones

The frequency of feeling

The healing hum of it’s vibration

Color has wrapped me up in its arms

And showed me life from a new lens

And I live to appreciate the difference

To love in a multitude of ways

From the color of the skin on our bodies

To the soul’s unique prism of passion

Is to experience the spectrum of the universe

Each innate detail and personal pattern

I look at the mold of my own mandala of colors

And see infinite beauty as I do in every part of life
