color...

without the 'isms

By Rosalyn AntoinettePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

i am color

prism

i don’t dabble

in negative isms

my days are infused

with a palate of marvelous hues

my vibes are colorful currants

of courage

human electricity

lessons learned

that were seasoned with salt

from seas of tears and gushing wounds

i am universal

black and enveloping

absolving and rich

love cannot be color blind

it has to face itself

to accept the beautiful bombardment

of brilliance that is human skin

mother earth brown

copper cool

olive and lemon undertones

my skin tone is it’s own pantone

absorbing the gold of sunshine

to reflect my eternal glow

color defines existence

with kaleidoscopic perspective

a vibrant eye personifies

our fashion

our passion

of color brought into fruition

fresh orange

no place like home red

zoolander steel blue

molly ringwald white hot

fuchsia in its ferocity

princely purple

rain down on me

color enhances all senses

becoming a force

within my spirit

i catch the holy ghost

and become mosaic

a myriad

an opus

a rainbow beaming with pride

i am the color of love

the color of light

the color of life

prism....

never dabbling in negative isms
