Color Commentary On Indecent Colors
My True Colors

The Indecent Colors
Maybe today this event will unlock The colorful conversations from a crayon box.
“One might assume, we get along well ‘Cause in this box, we all collectively dwell.
But only if you knew the untold truth The crazy in- fighting every crayon goes thru.
Even on the shelf, box still unopened Crayons rowed in the back start their moping.”
“Why I’m in the back? We always last!” “We, as good as others. We too, are first-class.”
“Shut up!” Screaming Green shouts out “In my opinion, your color should be left out.”
“We are all equal”, Lavender suggests Aquamarine murmurs, “Tell that to the rest.”
“This is our box,” believes the majority. “Every year others come. Lesser colors, a minority.”
Hot Magenta is point-on, great “Nobody can claim that, but the original eight.”
“Where I’m from”, says Pacific Blue “We don’t mix colors. Our colors are true.”
Razzle Dazzle Rose and Electric Lime Said, “That’s why your shade is behind the times.”
Olive Green said, “Love each other. Are we not all truly, just brothers of color?”
“Excuse me”, marked Carnation Pink “Sisters have color of value, don’t you think?”
“Use your Vocals, yes make that fuss”, Snapped Cotton- Candy who sat close to Blush.
Silver and Gray and Granny Smith Said they “hated” the labels they came with.
‘Asked why their labels they so hated “At our age, our colors are not appreciated.”
Pink Sherbert and Fuzzy Wuzzy Brown Said, “Neither us, “new” colors are not welcomed in town”
“You know, some colors are stuck-up,” Said Bittersweet who stood across from Asparagus.
Tumbleweed etched “We all ain’t Gold”. Copper agreed with a fade, “So I’ve been told...”
Suddenly, laughing, was Tickle Me Pink “Wait a minute guys, what y’all said made me think.
Is a crayon a color, if no label to call And what color would it be without the rainbow of us all.
They all agreed with great applause. “Every color is a color”, even Eggplant. (At the time, wearing no label at all.)
