They took the beautiful,

native, wild,

untamed rainbow of it,

forced it into rows,

indistinct,

cultivated obedience,

made it fruit

only in yellow,

fed it fabricated miracles,

to sweeten the yield,

to choke out the weeds,

to resist its own nature,

all so profit

could fatten the lie,

knowing those who sell it

will never pay

for the crimes.

👏👏 The whole earth being ruined over the concept of cash. So delusional. All most people want is good food. Great piece.

I wasn't aware that corn is technically a fruit... They did this with so many fruits and veggies, and how much blood sticks to their hands... no one thinks of that when we pack them in our bags...It's good to be reminded sometimes. Great work, Ellie!
