Bound by chains

Bound by chains of gold and greed,

A land of plenty, a nation decreed.

Stolen skies and plundered earth,

Birthright taken, since human birth.

From verdant jungles to ocean's deep,

A history etched, where shadows creep.

Indigenous souls, a silenced cry,

Beneath the weight of a foreign sky.

With promises of progress, they came,

Leaving behind, a haunting flame.

Of exploitation, and ruthless might,

Eradicating cultures, from morning light.

A tapestry woven, with blood and tears,

Centuries of suffering, through endless years.

A legacy of pain, a bitter cup,

Where hope is fragile, dreams shut up.

Yet, in the depths, a spirit endures,

Resilient hearts, where hope ensures.

A flicker of flame, in darkest night,

A fight for freedom, with all their might.

From ashes of despair, a phoenix rise,

To claim their birthright, beneath the skies.

With unity's strength, they reclaim their land,

Breaking free from oppression's hand.

A journey arduous, a winding road,

To heal the wounds, a heavy load.

But with each step, a victory won,

A nation reborn, beneath the sun.

For in the heart of every son and daughter,

Burns a fire, a fiery water.

To honor the past, and shape the future's art,

A legacy of courage, a brand new start.

So let us rise, with hearts aflame,

To heal the wounds, and claim our name.

A nation united, in spirit and mind,

Building a future, for all mankind.
