Coffee-Stained Love

I see the moon in your eyes,

My heartbeats are fluttering,

Yet I feel death clawing.

Your lips,

My savior.

The stains of a coffee cup,

A little reminder.

Warmth is fleeting,

So, I continue to drink you in, my dancer.

Your kiss silences the cries that drown me.

Coffee sips so warm,

The shadows play in the sunlit agony.

Every sip,

Every kiss,

Has stolen just one throb of misery.

If I could die in your arms tonight, let me die slowly.

So, I can see that smile,

So lovely.

The feel of you,

The warmth of a life,

I no longer feel it slip away in the daylight.
