Cocoon
A sacred stillness where pain transforms into freedom.

Going within the cocoon to figure things out.
Staying quiet instead of needing to shout.
I have so many fears I want to face while in here.
Confronting the shadows I’ve avoided for years.
The pain is deep, like the darkest part of the sea.
An unknown vastness that has swallowed me.
But I hold on to the flicker of light in this space—
A hope buried within, not easy to replace.
I ache for answers, for clarity’s gentle touch,
But in silence, I feel most peace.
The cocoon wraps me in its fragile, tight embrace—
Both my prison and my shelter,
A sacred place.
And when I surface, will I feel lighter than air?
Will the scars I’ve gathered shimmer, or will they tear?
I’ve been bleeding out all over for so long,
Open wounds that feel so scary to heal—
But I long.
It’s all unknown—what awaits, who I’ll be—
But in the pause,
I am becoming free.
