Cobwebs meant for fools

Plots within plots, and hidden agendas

Although such a lovely portrait to behold

Alluring and yet so pleasing to the eyes

Spiders spin their webs

Secret mysterious threads

Entangled betwixt truths and lies

Smokescreens to blind unsuspecting fools

Like bees to nectar, like mosquitos to fragrant skin

Are fools. Expected to submit and embrace your folly

Fools mayhap though.....are wise to the deceits

Though their quiet observances, and veiled acceptance

May entertain your arrogance, feed your ego

You. Thinking fools are indeed fooled

Knowing not, that they watch, and wait for that moment

When truth chooses to emerge into the light of day

For between those lies are lovely floral bouquets

Many colored garlands of flowery temptations

Ever wafting effervescent and perfumed upon the wind

Blinding the eyes to treachery and deceit

So yes! I, the fool! I watch and wait for the day

When I am vindicated and set free

For truth, in the end, wins to fight another day

Then I am proclaimed, fool no more............
