Clouds Composed With Marble
Poem

There is a blink of warmth
Early days
Was it yesterday just before the thunder when I heard a roar
Or was I sympathizing with drops too big to sweep away
Will trouble kind of match the sound
So, I checked the winds and asked the clouds to lift my prayer like angels do
No motion picture setbacks ever built an army
and a fortress never needed to quicken to redeem itself
Because it's not built yet
Set in stone, like marble
Flowers never tried so hard to bloom

Such a lovely poem, Lisa <3
This is incredibly beautiful. Well done, Lisa.

Oh wow, I love it especially this line: "I checked the winds and asked the clouds to lift my prayer like angels do" Amazing poem!
Excellent poem. Reading this gave me peace, kind of like when I look up at clouds. And it have a good message about not forcing thing, and change will have in its right time. And I also love how you describe Spring.
Fabulous work Lisa!๐ธ๐
Your poem is a beautiful blooming flower! The clouds better lift your poem to top story! Great work!
Sounds a bit like our recent weather. Yesterday it reached 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Today we had a blizzard from ca. 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. delivering around 3 inches of snow & limited visibility. It's now 6:39 p.m. with over an hour of daylight remaining & most of the snow is gone. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 60s.
The layers of meaning and the sense of both strength and fragility were beautifully crafted. Your words linger like a sculpture etched into the sky. Truly a mesmerizing read!
