Close the Curtains

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

[Verse]

My feet are cold and my head pounds like a drum

Curtains are wide open letting in way too much sun

Baby, can't you come back lay here still with me?

Just wrap me up in your love so sweet

[Chorus]

Baby, Close the curtains

make the world go away

Snuggle up close

Let's just waste the day

Let me breathe you

In like morning air

It's too early

Life's unfair

Close the curtains

Make the world go away

[Verse 2]

Your hair's a forest where my fingers want to play

Let's pretend we're in a boat and just float away

The clock's a liar and it ticks too too fast

Hold me tight make these moments last

[Bridge]

Forget the time

let the hours drown

We can let the sun spin 'round

This bed's our world

this room our sky

Stay with me while the minutes pass by

[Chorus]

Baby, Close the curtains

make the world go away

Snuggle up close Llet's just waste the day

Let me breathe you

In like morning air

It's too early

Life's unfair

Close the curtains

Make the world go away

Close the damn curtains

Baby, come back to bed

And snuggle away the day

Close the curtains
