Clocks and Stones

A Journey Through Time and Struggle

By Juliet OgbaroPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Growing up, I realized nature's call,

Troubled and deep in thought.

I thought I was strong enough to withstand

All the hurdles and roughest stones thrown at me.

Countless times, I had given up all hope,

Knowing full well that time was not on my side.

All I could hear was the clock ticking,

Ringing in my ears, leaving me restless.

Realizing that nature wasn’t kind to me,

I longed for the power to regress time.

But as I stood in the chaos of my mind,

A quiet voice whispered, “You must climb.”

So I gathered the pieces of who I once was,

Embracing the storms and letting them pass.

For every rough stone that struck my way

It shaped my soul, molding me day by day.

Though time may not be mine to command,

I learned to walk on shifting sand.

And in the journey, I found my peace—

Nature’s call was never meant to cease.
