Claws and Paws

By Bria Fairchild

By Bria FairchildPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

A monster came late at night

into my room

Quietly closing door

What happened next will leave some of you floored

Like a panther, he silently crept

As I peacefully slept

A monster came late at night

into my room

I struggle to tell you what he took

That awful evil crook

A monster came late at night

into my room

Only he and my memories know

What my mind and body have been too afraid to show

A monster came late at night

into my room

What he did I'm afraid broke a little girl's soul

And left a grown woman feeling unwhole

A monster came late at night

into my life

heartbreak
