classic arrogance, textbook dissonance

Poem...more cleaning out my wardrobe...

By Paul StewartPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

stripped naked

your sins exposed

her skin torn

metaphorical attacks

actual internal harm

absolution negated

screams of pain

your desire unstrained

blocks the harm

redacts the care

the heart wants

what

the heart wants

so to speak

the heart

a terrible litmus test

when it's broken

tainted and treacherous

lusty and selfish

classic arrogance

textbook dissonance

so to speak

it's the way you tell it

so well so twisted

in logic and truth

the more you spin

downplay the problem

the more you sin

more is the solution

the more you see

banquet for the eyes

the more you sear

the heart where it lies

tears of blood

torrential outpouring

again and again

will you/i/we

jump this train

or do it again

again and again

Some insanely potent and powerful lines in here! True to your raw voice, which I so admire! Another amazing piece, pal!

  • Good question, Paul. When will we learn the answer?
