“Wearing amber gemstones around your neck

30 billion years boils down to this

Life was surpassed by pretty things

Picked off the ground, they’re scavenging

And so we poke a hole in a little rock

Call it anything you want

Wars and famine couldn’t wear it down

In such a short time, you’ll wear it down

Human nature only destroys

Itself

Nature only destroys human

Itself

What would you call a little beetle

Stuck in gum on the bottom of your shoe

In some field where extinction took place

Calling it your own space

Fill it up with bricks and glue”
