Citadel

Poem

By Desmond RazzanoPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

My life is like a Citadel! Here’s my castle up the hill.

Seems like the outside’s living hell. I’m in a dream I know is real.

I’m just trying to feel like.. I wish that I could think in peace.

But something doesn’t feel right.. Once all the noise does finally cease.

My love is like a Citadel! My sanctuary down the road.

Sorry, I never kiss and tell. So, see my story’s not full of holes.

I’m still trying to learn how.. How to live a life free of concern.

But that’s not how it works out..

Give what’s gained and keep what’s earned.

My soul is like a Citadel! See my fortress across the bridge.
