Circus Animals

with Rainbow Sprinkles

Two bodies merge as one

After passion fills the room

Linked like an unbreakable chain

That tethers our heart and souls

To the undying love we share

An episode on Netflix

Then another

And by then we binge on the eyes of the other

I lose myself in your retina

The Rocky Road I yearn to taste

And a view I crave

To remain entranced in

But now hunger sets

And now I want a scoop

As we dress I gaze in admiration

At heaven’s most perfect creation

And as we drive, it is your complexion

That grabs my full attention

And while you order your favorite flavor

I savor nothing else

For if I chose plain vanilla

My heart would never melt

I must simply say we have good taste.
