Circle of Fire

The Last Flame Challenge

Like wilted leaves

The cycle continues

In a race against time

Fall turns into winter

Many beginnings

Turn into endings

With each passing year

Leaves everything pending

The wonder of hope

Leading to dreams ever lasting

But the clue is in divine wisdom of the seasons

That nothing lasts forever

Just like the plants of Spring

Our bodies start to fade

And like the beautiful rose of Summer

We are not beautiful anymore

And like the brown crumbled leaves of Fall

Our bodies hear the call

That the ice fairies will inevitably be dancing with our souls

The fire of life will be with us no more

The flame of what you leave behind

Is your Legacy

What a creative way to express a life cycle.

The flame of love. The knowledge that nothing truly ends. The certainty that the little one is alive. Be sure of it. It doesn’t end. Don’t be afraid. When I was little, I used to leave my body. Do you know how wonderful it is up there? Keep the candle lit, and your child is beside you. It doesn’t end, I tell you. God loves you. You will see. :))
