Cinderella

Bedtime Story

By laxmi kumariPublished 3 years ago 2 min read

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a kind-hearted and gentle young woman named Cinderella. Despite facing hardship and loss at a young age after the passing of her loving parents, Cinderella continued to maintain her warm spirit and positive outlook on life.

Unfortunately, her life took a dramatic turn when her father remarried a cold and wicked woman named Lady Tremaine, who also had two equally cruel daughters, Anastasia and Drizella. From the moment they entered Cinderella's life, they treated her as a mere servant, forcing her to do all the house chores while they lived a life of luxury.

Despite the mistreatment, Cinderella remained resilient, finding solace in her friendship with the animals that roamed the village. Among her closest companions were Jaq and Gus, the mice, and Bruno, the loyal dog. They provided comfort and support in her darkest times.

One day, a grand invitation arrived at the village, announcing a royal ball hosted by the King's son, Prince Charming. All eligible young ladies were invited to attend, and the Prince would choose his future bride at the ball. Cinderella's heart soared with hope, dreaming that perhaps this event could be an escape from her dreary life.

Yet, Lady Tremaine and her daughters were determined to thwart Cinderella's chances. They went to great lengths to prevent her from attending the ball, tearing her beautiful dress and leaving her in tears. Cinderella's dreams seemed shattered, but her kind heart drew the attention of a mysterious, elderly woman who revealed herself to be her fairy godmother.

With a wave of her wand, the fairy godmother transformed ordinary objects into magical delights. A pumpkin became an elegant carriage, mice into magnificent horses, and rags into a stunning gown. She warned Cinderella that the magic would only last until midnight when everything would return to its original state.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Cinderella set off for the ball, where she captivated everyone with her beauty and grace, including Prince Charming. They danced the night away, and for once, Cinderella felt like she belonged. However, as the clock struck midnight, she had to rush home, leaving behind a single glass slipper in her haste.

Back in her tattered clothes, Cinderella returned to her life of servitude, cherishing the memory of the magical evening. The Prince, determined to find the enchanting young woman, searched the kingdom, trying the glass slipper on every maiden. When he arrived at Cinderella's home, her stepsisters tried to fit into the delicate shoe, but it was a perfect fit for Cinderella alone.

Reunited with her prince, Cinderella's life took a breathtaking turn. The Prince was enchanted by her inner beauty and kind heart, and they fell deeply in love. He asked her to be his wife, and Cinderella's dreams of a better life came true. The couple lived happily ever after, and Cinderella's stepfamily, realizing their cruelty and wickedness, changed their ways. Cinderella's kindness and forgiveness won their hearts, and they became a loving family. Cinderella's magical journey taught her and those around her the power of love, kindness, and the belief that dreams can come true, no matter how difficult life may seem. And so, the tale of Cinderella remains an enduring reminder that goodness and love will always triumph over darkness
