Chunky Monkey

My mom's favorite

By Jada FergusonPublished 2 years ago β€’ 1 min read

Not the biggest fan of chocolate chunks-

Would never eat plain banana ice cream-

Walnuts being 4th on my list of best nuts-

It was and is still the perfect bite-

With the weird name that I just figured out writing this poem-

-

All I can remember is-

My mom at the top corner of her bed-

Turned to the side-

Shoulders arched-

I pounce on the bed-

Begging for a spoonful-

Her favorite ice cream-

So I had to have it-

Climbing over her-

My neck right under her chin-

Her makeshift conjoined twin-

Family
