Chroma

beyond the wheel of color

By Erin RichardsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

though I be the color of winter

I don't want the palette of my life to be snow

bestow a rainfall of cherry blossoms to tumble down upon me

turmeric sunshine to stain my soul

I welcome crimson cheeked lovers to weave their experiences into my world

to see beyond the mosses and magnolia's and open up to malachite

while eggshell is perfect for walls with pristine frames that hold edited versions of what a life should appear like

I desire a technicolor quilt of friendships outside of what I already know

blue that's spilled into yellow, creating something altogether different

this canvas will be a Pollock

a life beyond the ice
