Chorus of the Dwarves

Poem

By Keagan RicePublished 4 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read

They gulp down every drop of mead

and party and dance upon the street

with skin of stone and heart of iron,

… That's the Dwarven way to be.

-

In strong mountains we make our homes

where we pick the ground and mine the stone

hunting for iron, and silver, and gold,

hoping for treasure and renown unknown.

-

When Dwarfs march off to war

their armour glitters their weapons glow

with perfect rhythms and perfect rhyme,

the Dwarves they sing in perfect time.

-

In battles fierce and battles bold

we hold our ground we do not fold

with spirits on fire and tactics we win,

sending our foes scattered to the wind.

-

Upon returning home they chant

the Dwarves they party the Dwarves they dance

and when the festivities are done,

no drop of mead is left to tongue.

-

So heroes of every race

we challenge you to take new face

and learn the Bravery, Spirit, and Power,

of all the Dwarves and their glorious hours!

This poem was very fun to read. It was easy to envision the Dwarves singing and dancing, mining and fighting and returning home to party some more. I can imagine them doing this day after day without complaint. I look forward to more of your poems.
