Chocolat, Amor and Vino

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Verse 1

Took a ride through the hills of Provence

Dust on my shoes, no plan in advance

Driver smiled with a wink in his eye

Said, “You don’t need much to get by”

Pre-Chorus

He leaned back and said with flair

“Three words, and you’re halfway there”

Chorus

Chocolat, Amor, and Vino

That’s all you need wherever you go

A little sweet, a little love, a little red to let it flow

Forget the rest, just take it slow

Chocolat, Amor, and Vino

Verse 2

I’ve chased dreams and I’ve chased trains

Lost in cities, kissed in rain

But when I’m lost or feeling low

I hear that voice from long ago

Pre-Chorus

“Life’s not meant to be a race

Just taste the joy in every place”

Chorus

Chocolat, Amor, and Vino

That’s all you need wherever you go

A little sweet, a little love, a little red to let it flow

Forget the rest, just take it slow

Chocolat, Amor, and Vino

Bridge

Now I toast to strangers, dance in cafés

Write poems on napkins, waste perfect days

And when they ask what guides my way

I smile and simply say…

Final Chorus

Chocolat, Amor, and Vino

That’s all you need wherever you go

A little sweet, a little love, a little red to let it flow

Forget the rest, just take it slow

Chocolat, Amor, and Vino

love poems
