A sunny spring day after gentle rain The sun is shining through the windows of my girlfriends apartment

Alone on the couch. I enjoy the moments of waking up early and sitting with my thoughts

A door creaks nearby and mouse like footsteps appear.

It's a child wide awake asking to play play play

I chuckle and grab the badminton rackets that light up on the side

We play back and forth, almost never hitting more than once until it drops on the floor

We laugh, play and all of a sudden I am a child again

Remembering what it feels like to have family that loves me

I can almost taste the happiness in that moment

A sweet honey that you don't want to give up, I am Winnie the pooh.

It's almost as if a great friend has returned to me just to say hello, and I let out a little wave across the bay

The sunshine dancing on the floor in waves I relish in the moment, and take a deep breath to savor it all

Slowly returning to the man I am

Carrying that little jar of honey with me, holding it, gently dipping my finger in for just a taste

Like diving into a pool headfirst, the moment right before you break the water I revel in the moment like Michelangelo's painting The Creation of Adam

The world pauses long enough for my to take a single taste, a moment of peace unlike any other.

I bask in its glory asking for just a second more of warmth

Returning with a new sense of life within me
