Childhood memories

Running through fields of green,
With bare feet and messy hair,
Chasing after butterflies,
Without any a single care.

Playing hide-and-seek,
In the yard with my friends,
Laughing and giggling,
Until the day's end.

Climbing trees so high,
Feeling like we could touch the sky,
Building forts and playing house,
We were happy as could be, without a doubt.

Blowing dandelions,
Watching the seeds dance in the wind,
Picking wildflowers,
Thinking they were the most beautiful things.

Sitting on the porch with family,
Eating ice cream on hot summer days,
Watching the stars at night,
In awe of their mysterious ways.

These childhood memories,
Are treasures I hold dear,
Reminders of a time,
When life was simple and sincere.
