Child Born In Darkness

A lullaby for the dark

By Vicious AvaricePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Born veiled in darkness with eyes that see no light

You're all alone there trapped inside you mind

Your thoughts are worn through like battered chests of gold.

Inside they've lost their luster, rusting over shades of blue

I see right past your darkness

Pierce through your tender heart

My eyes are locked on yours tonight

You shall not tear apart

I want to hear you howl, let loose your cries of hate

Dwell upon your tortured soul, so one day you'll escape

The shackles put upon your soul, that you clasped by yourself, notice not the hefty toll

But pennies become wealth

So stare into my radiant eyes, until you see the light

The darkness in you can't survive.

Tonight we end your blight

Child born in darkness with eyes that see no light

You're no longer all alone here

So go ahead and cry
