Chicken math

No they can’t add

It’s a joke for some

And more than a growing fad

One plus one is supposed to equal two

But like potato chips you lose track

A rooster doesn’t count

And besides he needs a hen to let's add to the pack

One hen doesn’t lay eggs

So, we need another

Before too long

You have one of each color

The coop needs a remodel

They need more space

Sweat and building materials

Justify more additions to fill up this place

Now you have no skills in math

One plus one is really adding up to ten

Chicken math is easy to flunk

No exact rhyme or reason for all the additions of just one more hen
