I search for you each life time I pass.
I feel like this time took me a little longer than the last.
We have somehow ended up on two different platforms. Maybe the universe thought it funny to give us bigger tricks than before.
Mesmerized with our capabilities to find one another, the universe has made it more difficult to pick up your scent.
It wasnt until I looked at your eyes one day that my mind forced me to pay attention...
I've seen those eyes before, hidden behind fully bloomed orchids.
Your smile forming behind the leaves while we walked the yard for a place to plant them.
I believe Im remembering one of our favored memories.
The sun was setting, the sky behind you was no longer blindingly bright but a golden glow. I remember the stepping stones we placed that led to your garden beds.
Blue Wisteria Vines grew along the fence line, I called them Lavender Vines and we'd lay beneath the Cherry Blossom Tree just... existing; laughing until the stars revealed themseleves.
I remember on this night, you leaned forward and turned to me. The petals of the flowers were falling into your hair, they had fallen so perfectly you'd think they were meant to be there.
You smiled and the last thing I remember before the vision fades are your cheeks bones rising, while your lips curled into a smile.
Your eyes looking into mine and the feeling of you falling into my chest with your arms wrapped around me.
Today, I recognize that empty space. That missing thing I've been feeling in my chest was never an object misplaced... it was you.
Our paths will cross again and when they do, I hope it takes a look into my eyes for you to remember our Cherry Blossom Tree and Blue Wisteria Vines.
