“Having a place to go — is a home.
Having someone to love — is a family.
Having both — is a blessing”
All of these things
create a sense of belonging and contentment
that is priceless.
Not everyone is fortunate enough
to have these two blessings.
One person may have a home
and
another person may have a family.
For those of us who have both a home and a family,
we are truly blessed.
The question is:
do we appreciate these blessings?
To be honest, most of us do!
We just get so busy in our chaotic lives
that we don’t always ‘think’ about it.
It is very often
that when we see war-torn countries on the news
and the families who have been split apart
and lost their homes through bombing,
we ‘remember’
that we have our homes and our families with us.
It is true
that we cannot replace a family
but we can be a friend
and show that family-like love
to those who have lost these blessings.
Let’s do our best
every day
to cherish and appreciate
our homes and our families.
