Cheap Talk; Expensive Silence

Yet, both at the same time can become Violent.

The reason why talk is cheap

Is because is silence golden

Yet, the freedom of speech

Doesn't protect the silence we're holdin'

So, when it

Comes to not expending your energy

and casting your pearls before swine

You best be saving your voice, breath, and even your time

By Jeremy Beadle on Unsplash

It doesn't matter how many kernels of truth

Will pass through their system

If they never listen

Just tryin' to get in

One more word to dismiss them

Since they whine, squeal, and oink

By Jeremy Bezanger on Unsplash

Never get, Nor get to the point

So let me make this a point

As I appoint and not flaunt

Ensure Your past does not haunt

What you could've done or said

But instead at times you refused to remain silent instead

By Kristina Flour on Unsplash

So I told them

That since silence is golden

Work through internal dialogue and listen

Meditate and glisten

Or else you're just pissin'

Away everything valuable

That a wise person would have to say

That you may only hear once in a Centur-Ray

But to this day

They don't speak unless needed

To not argue with idiots

Get dragged down and beaten with experience

It's no experiment

I've seen the detriment

Of people looking a gift horse in the mouth

By Dan Cook on Unsplash

Instead of flossin' their own teeth

Disease and Decay lookin' more deadly than a cottonmouth

By Meg Jerrard on Unsplash

Try to not to get stuck

With the pigs

and roll around in the muck

Cause then it'll suck

Clean yourself up

And get out of the mud

But in a river with clay

You can find gold and relay

The truth of the nuggets

Like the field of corn, farmers dug it

By Jesse Gardner on Unsplash

The horse doesn't neigh

Let the donkeys bray

Your silence ain't weak

Sometimes you gotta allow an Ass Whole to Speak

Silver tongues should never speak words less than copper

Instead of erupting like a bottle of champagne

By Alexander Naglestad on Unsplash

You might need a stopper

To stop your own pain

Don't outpour words of wisdom

Some people don't deserve your words

they let their mouths run

Sometimes it's just best to bite your tongue

Save yourself from exercise for your lungs

I don't know what else you want me to say

I already said it

Never argue with people

Who are Pigheaded

By Iva Rajović on Unsplash

Trust me, you'll regret it

And feel jaded

You hate it

As you feel unlistened

Dismissed then

You wanna forget them

But then you let them

Live rent free

Up in your head

With arguments imaginary

Shampoo bottles clapping in the shower, that's extraordinary

By Hannah Xu on Unsplash

But hold on cause it's pretty scary

To allow people like that

Have that much power over you

So what'cha gonna do?

How you gonna get your due

and Just Desserts

Cause you know it hurts

To mocked

and knocked

Off the clock

As their looks and gestures are more than dismissive

Understand their nature

Submit

But don't be Submissive

But we gotta admit

Forgive yourself

But we shouldn't be permissive

Of improper treatment

It'll feel like defeat then

Just treat yourself right

Reserve your right

To hold your tongue back

Since stubborn people abundantly lack

The ability to understand their destructive narrative

They make it their imperative

To have others fit into their story

No matter how innocent or gory

So you should not worry

If you do not associate

For your reputation to survive

Sometimes it necessitates

On letting motor jaws run their mouths

To seal their own fate

By Narciso Arellano on Unsplash

Now these words to you may not be worth more than a dime

Alright, then fine

But at least remember this line

"Never put your pearls before the swine

'Cause the swine will always whine

So it's best to go and find

Those who'll appreciate your time."
