Chaotic Heart

A love so messy it can only be chaotic to your life.

Protesting love for you.

Not wanting my heart broken

once again.

Falls on deaf ears,

knowing no truth

is behind the words.

Each day is loss

on the love I feel.

Pain that comes

of you never knowing

the effect you have on me.

Loving you causing

nothing but hurt.

Turning and twisting

down the path of destruction.

You are at the end,

but also at the beginning.

Losing all sense of control

of my emotions

and my heart.

Nothing but chaos

fills up my days.

Leading a life

of fantasy with you

is all I can manage.

A place where I can

call you my own.

Questioning the purpose

you coming into my life

in the first place.

If all it was meant to be

in my head

and buried in my heart.

Author's note: The prompt for this poem was a messy love. For the poem, I wrote about a love that can only exist in a fantasy world and is nothing but torture for the one in love.
